Labourer - Somerset

We are looking for a hard-working, reliable and physically fit General Labourer to join our team on an 8-week project at a Community Equipment Store.

This is a hands-on role where you will be supporting the tradesmen and wider site team with a variety of general labouring duties. The work will include moving and handling materials and equipment, keeping work areas clean and organised, assisting tradesmen and helping with the day-to-day running of the project.

The successful candidate will need to be physically fit and comfortable with manual work, as the role will involve regular lifting, carrying and moving of materials. You must be someone who is not afraid of hard work and is happy to get stuck in wherever needed.

We are looking for a person with a positive attitude and strong work ethic who can follow instructions, work well as part of a team and take pride in doing the job properly. Reliability is extremely important, so you must be punctual, dependable and ready to work every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out general labouring duties
  • Moving and handling materials, equipment and deliveries
  • Assisting tradesmen with their day-to-day work
  • Loading, unloading and organising materials
  • Keeping the Community Equipment Store and working areas clean and tidy
  • Assisting with site preparation and clear-up
  • Moving equipment and materials to the correct areas
  • Following instructions from tradesmen and site management
  • Supporting the wider team with general duties as required
  • Following all site health & safety procedures

Requirements

MUST HAVE:

  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Previous labouring or construction experience preferred
  • Physically fit and capable of manual work
  • Hard-working and willing to get stuck in
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good attitude and strong work ethic
  • Able to follow instructions
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Good awareness of health & safety

CSCS Card is essential. Candidates without a valid CSCS Card will not be considered.

This role is ideal for a dependable Labourer who is prepared to work hard, turn up on time and support the team throughout the full 8-week project.
